The Arrival of Customized Burgers @ Five Guys (Cerritos)

Finally, Five Guys had arrive to my neighborhood.

I had heard so many stories about how this east coast chain was supposed to be better than the west coast chain of "In-N-Burgers". Let's put it to rest already....it's not.

There was never a shot of me ever ordering a Six Dollar Burger unless I'm in a restaurant, but I just need to see for myself it this was going to be worth it or just another aberration for them to sludge another mediocre product with east coast hype.

It's a good thing that I didn't make the trip to Carson, CA because it would had been in a sketchy part of the town and more than half hour drive just for a burger. This placed opened up just this past weekend and I was ready to test taste what east coast $6 burger and will find out on what it's all about.

Double Bacon Cheeseburger

Right off the bat, there was something unique about this place. It offer you the options of deciding what topping to get on your burger. Knowing me, I want everything! (mushroom, pickles, peppers, tomatoes, and lettuce). You know it, it got it. There was one thing I won't get was the A-1 sauce and other BBQ sauce. I was not going contaminate my burger with any sauce, so I decided to forgo any type of sauce they had to offer.

Let's just conclude that the burger's patties were awesome. The over indulgence on the toppings were too much. I left tons of carnage on that wrapper and use it as my side salad since there was so much of it.

I also decided to order their Kosher Hot Dog. It's unique only because it's cut in buttefly style as the dog was split in half as the picture shown below. It's tasty, but really left you wondered.

Kosher Dog

It's actually not bad for a chain burger joint, but it didn't satisfy me. In fact I was thinking of going back and get another burger, but what stopped me was the $6 tag on that Double Bacon Cheeseburger. I decided to use it on Panda Express instead since it's more fulfilling and bigger portion.

I have to warn everyone, when you walk through the door, you will be greeted like as if you were in Coldstone Creamery. These kids will sing and shout when they make your burger. It's a nice joint, but I'll only go periodically.

For once, I now know what a $6 burger taste like.

Yeah Tony, I figure the joint would die down at Carson. I think they are trying hard to get people to notice the new place in Cerritos Promenade. It's right across from Game Stop and a few door down from Hometown Buffet.

It's not bad for a burger, but way overpriced at $5.95.

Hi Filthy,

It was expensive and not much on the value side. However if you enjoyed it, you will continue to keep buying the burger regardless of the price.
