Yes! We Should Be Friends!

OK, I'll throw my hands up about something. I'm very quick at flying off the handle and overreact too quickly to criticisms. Sometimes it would be about the littlest details that is much ado about nothing. To be all honest, I'm one of the very few lucky bloggers that don't get too many criticisms or too much critiques. I'm just not into slamming a place and my blog is not much of a hater blog that needs to dog a place before it can get its sea legs going.

My preference is to just let it be and I'll tell like it is. No favoritism from me regarding about my grades. Blase for me most of the time.

Occasionally I do get a few hecklers and it would just dwell on me for a few hours like I just can't get it out of my mind. It drives me crazy.

On a lazy morning, it comes as a certain surprise to me when I got an unusual hit to my blog from a link that was very suspicious to me. I followed it and the clue lead me to a journal of someone who had a miserable sick day in bed. Then out of nowhere, she paid me an ultimate compliment.

So, I came home from the office early today…I feel like death. I slept from 1-7pm with intermitted email checks realizing that today was a nice and slow day on that front. I can’t decide if that is a good or bad thing yet.

However, during my bed-ridden day, I did discover this wonderful site.

I don’t know who this person is, but dear goodness, thank you for existing. You give me a purpose.

Needless to say it warmed my heart. An absolute stranger stumbled into my blog and want to be my friend (so said the title of her entry for that day). It was just too wonderful to be that kindly thought of and I instantly forget all the naysayers. Sometimes I take this for granted as I thought this kind of gesture does not exist. Especially from someone who is not looking to be heard or found.

It's too bad that I can't sent her an email or sent a note to her as her journal didn't enable the comment section. I tried to follow her journal at tumblr, but again no communication was possible. So the only thing I can do is to thank her publicly for the kind words and yes... I would love to be your friend!

For everyone else out there reading this, I too would love to be your friend and thank you kindly from the bottom of my heart for following along with me on my foodie adventures.

A little postscript - The young lady who posted the journal entry had found out my last night's blog entry and had contacted me. She even updated her new entry here.

Now we can all feel warm & fuzzy on the inside!

Hi PM - You do a great job.....funny thing about those emails and comments. It seems they occur at those moments when you're thinking about "giving up the ship" for one reason or another. Take care, and kkep up the good work.

Awwww....teddy bears & a heart balloon? I'd be your friend, too. :)

Duuude! I had no idea you were so cheesy. Yeah, I think we all deal with headaches, and it's always nice to know when someone appreciates us.

PS, Just to whet your appetite, I do know how to to debone Cornish game hens. It's a pain to do, but gotta leave some mean, not just chicken skin. Stuffed with sticky rice and Chinese sausage. Mmm.

Hey Kirk,

Thank you very much for the encouragement there! I wouldn't jump off the ship, but sometimes those kind of things happened for the lousiest reasons. Thanks again!

Hi Pleasure Palate,

Thanks for being a friend! Do you want a balloon too? Hehehe

Hey Wandering Chopsticks,

Quit knocking my inner sensitivity. *sniff sniff* that you do know how to debone a game hen...when are we having that dinner? C'mon!! Set it up!

Aaaah, I hate typos. How did I end up with so many in one comment?

Should say:
PS, Just to whet your appetite, I do know how to debone Cornish game hens. It's a pain to do, but gotta leave some meaT, not just chicken skin.

Why would I leave some mean? Oh yeah, I'm a meanie and just like teasing you. :P Seriously, the N and T keys aren't even near each other.

Verification word is "confu." Darn right I was confused.

Hey Wandering Chopstick,

Wow..just wow!

So you are teasing me with the deboned hen and not going to cook it for me? That is *cough* so mean!! *cough*

You could leave some meaT for me and leave out the mean for burumun. hehehehe
